Terms of use
Effective
These terms govern your use of the Troisroues iOS app. By signing in or accepting an invitation, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1 · The operator
Troisroues is a private project run jointly by Tim Fischer and Luca Macchi (together, the operators) in Switzerland. There is no company or association behind the project. Contact: support@troisroues.org.
2 · What we provide
Troisroues is an invitation-only platform that lets a private circle of members RSVP to and attend events organised by the operator. The service is delivered through the Troisroues iOS application.
We make the service available on a best-effort basis. Access may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security patching, or reasons outside our control.
3 · Eligibility and membership
You may use Troisroues only if you are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity, and have received a valid invitation issued through the platform. Your membership is personal — you may not transfer your account or share your credentials.
The operator decides who is invited and at which membership tier (Member, Trusted, Diamond). Trusted and Diamond members may invite further members within the quota set by the operator. The operator may revoke any invitation that has not yet been accepted.
4 · Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share, leak, or publish event details, attendee identities, or photographs without the explicit prior consent of the persons concerned and of the operator;
- use the service to harass, defame, or threaten any person;
- attempt to bypass authentication, rate-limits, or any other security mechanism, or probe the service for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure agreement with us;
- scrape, crawl, or copy the directory of members or events;
- invite individuals you reasonably believe would not be welcome by the existing circle, or invite anyone purely for the purpose of expanding your own influence in the referral graph;
- misuse the service to send spam, malware, or any unlawful content.
Violations may result in immediate suspension of your account and erasure of issued invitations.
5 · RSVPs and event attendance
When you RSVP to an event you commit to attending. Plus-one allowances depend on your membership tier and on the organiser’s decision. Cancellations close 72 hours before the event start. Late cancellations or no-shows may be factored into future invitation decisions but will not result in financial penalties.
Events may include house rules (dress code, dietary adjustments, arrival window). We expect members to follow the house rules of the venue. The operator may refuse entry to a member who does not.
6 · Pricing
Troisroues itself charges no membership fee. Individual events may carry an entry contribution; this is shown on the event page in the iOS app. Today the platform does not process payments — the entry contribution is settled at the event. When in-app payment becomes available, these terms will be amended and you will be asked to accept the new payment provisions before the next charge.
7 · Intellectual property
The Troisroues name, mark, monogram, copy, and software are owned by the operator. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer the iOS app except to the extent permitted by Art. 21 URG (Swiss Copyright Act).
Photos, audio, or video you submit (e.g. a profile picture, if added in a future release) remain yours. By submitting such content you grant the operator a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the service to other members for the purpose for which you uploaded it.
8 · Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
9 · Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by Swiss law (Art. 100 CO):
- we accept liability without limitation for damages caused by unlawful intent or gross negligence;
- our liability for ordinary negligence is limited to direct, foreseeable damages and excludes consequential losses, lost profit, and lost data;
- we are not liable for events organised by third parties or for the conduct of other members;
- we are not liable for outages caused by force majeure, telecommunications failures, or actions of the upstream cloud / hosting providers listed in the privacy policy.
10 · Your responsibility
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account, including content you post or invitations you issue. You must keep your sign-in credentials confidential and contact us immediately at support@troisroues.org if you suspect they have been compromised.
11 · Termination
You may terminate your membership at any time by deleting your account from inside the iOS app (Card → ⋯ → Delete data). Deletion is irreversible. Any RSVPs to upcoming events are cancelled, and any pending invitations you issued are revoked.
We may terminate or suspend your account, with reasonable notice except where the breach is grave, if you materially violate these terms or the trust of the circle.
12 · Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect; if you continue to use the service after the change, you are deemed to have accepted the new version.
13 · Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Swiss substantive law, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-laws rules and of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland. The mandatory consumer forum under Art. 32 para. 2 ZPO is reserved — natural persons acting outside their professional activity may bring an action at their place of residence.
14 · Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to the economic intent of the original.
